Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Rundle, Inc. (“Rundle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use the Rundle mobile application, website, support channels, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. This policy does not govern the privacy practices of banks, app stores, or other third parties that operate under their own policies.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to provide and improve Rundle:
- Account information. Your email address, name, profile image, sign-in provider identifiers, country, currency, and time-zone preferences. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize that provider to share.
- Financial information. When you choose to connect an account through Plaid, we receive account and institution details, account type and partial account number, balances, transactions, and, where you expressly enable it, investment information. We also store information needed to maintain that secure connection. We do not receive or store your online banking password.
- Information you create. Budgets, savings goals, recurring-payment settings, transaction categories, preferences, and other content you add or change in Rundle.
- Subscription information. Subscription status, product, purchase, and renewal information supplied by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
- Device and usage information. App screens and feature interactions, device and operating-system information, language, approximate region derived from technical information, IP address, diagnostics, and performance data. If you enable push notifications, we also process a device installation identifier and push token.
- Communications. The messages and contact information you provide when you contact us for help or feedback.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure your account, authenticate you, and provide the features you request.
- Connect and refresh your financial accounts; organize transactions; calculate balances, budgets, trends, and goals; and detect recurring charges.
- Provide alerts and notifications you choose to receive, including budget, spending, account, and subscription updates.
- Manage subscriptions, restore purchases, provide support, and respond to requests.
- Understand how the Services are used, test features, fix problems, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve Rundle.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements, or establish, exercise, and defend legal claims.
We do not use your financial account data to make lending decisions, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Connected financial accounts
Rundle uses Plaid to help you connect financial institutions. When you open Plaid Link, the information you enter there is provided directly to Plaid and your financial institution. Plaid provides Rundle with a token that lets us retrieve only the data you authorized.
Rundle access is intended to be read-only: the Services do not initiate transfers or move money. You can disconnect a financial institution in the app. Disconnecting stops future refreshes and removes the associated connection from Rundle, subject to the retention practices described below.
Your choices and rights
You can manage connected accounts, notification permissions, and subscription settings from Rundle and your device or app-store settings. You may correct certain account information by updating it with your sign-in provider or contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email team@rundle.fit. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also appeal a decision by replying to our response.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Services. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why we use it, legal obligations, security needs, and backup schedules.
The in-app Delete accountcontrol disconnects linked financial institutions and deletes linked accounts, transactions, balance history, push-device records, and notification history from Rundle's active systems. Your app-store subscription is managed separately and must be canceled through the applicable app store. Limited profile, subscription, security, legal, or backup records may remain where reasonably necessary or required by law. Email us to request deletion of remaining eligible information.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and separation of account-connection credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Protect your device and sign-in credentials, and contact us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your Rundle account without permission.
Children and international use
Rundle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Services are intended for people who are at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.
Rundle operates from the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other places where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws from your country.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as Rundle changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to Rundle, Inc. at team@rundle.fit.
